Dubai District Games 2026
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Dubai District Games 2026 (“DDG”) is organized by the Dubai Sports Council (“DSC”, “Organizer”, “we”, “us”).
By registering for and/or participating in the Dubai District Games, all participants agree to comply with and be legally bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
1. About the Event
The Dubai District Games is a community sports initiative bringing together residents from across Dubai to compete at district level in the following sports:
- Football (7-a-side)
- Basketball (3x3)
- Volleyball (Indoor)
- Badminton (Doubles)
District-level competitions will take place across weekends in April 2026. Winning teams will qualify for the Dubai-Level Games (Finals), held during the first weekend of May 2026.
2. Eligibility
- Hold valid proof of Dubai residency (e.g., Emirates ID).
- Be medically fit to participate in competitive sports.
- Complete the official registration process within the stated deadlines.
- Represent one district.
- Compete for one team per sport.
3. Registration
- Availability of team slots
- Submission of accurate and complete information
- Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions
- Reject incomplete or inaccurate registrations
- Close registration early if capacity is reached
- Cancel registrations that breach eligibility requirements
4. Fees, Cancellations & Refunds
Where applicable, registration fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. All applicable transaction fees, service charges, and taxes (if any) are the responsibility of the participant.
If a participant or team withdraws after completing registration:
- Refunds will not be automatically granted.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Organizer.
- All refund requests will be reviewed strictly on a case-by-case basis.
The Organizer reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, modify, or cancel any match or the tournament due to operational requirements, safety concerns, force majeure, government directives, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, refunds (if applicable) shall be determined at the sole discretion of the Dubai Sports Council.
5. Tournament Format & Rules
- Modify schedules
- Change venues
- Adjust formats
- Merge or restructure groups
6. Code of Conduct
- Respect officials, opponents, volunteers, and spectators
- Follow all instructions issued by event staff
- Comply with venue rules and safety regulations
- Violent, abusive, or threatening behavior
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
- Use of offensive or discriminatory language
- Participation under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances
- Use of ineligible players
- Submission of false documentation
- Damage to facilities or equipment
7. Health & Medical Responsibility
- They are physically and medically fit to compete.
- They have no medical condition that would prevent safe participation.
- They hold valid medical insurance coverage.
8. Waiver & Release of Liability
By registering and participating in DDG, participants:
- Acknowledge and accept the risks associated with sporting activities.
- Agree to release and hold harmless the Dubai Sports Council, its employees, contractors, volunteers, partners, venue providers, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of participation in the event, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
- Accept full personal responsibility for their participation.
9. Personal Property
Participants are solely responsible for their personal belongings at all times. The Organizer shall not be responsible or liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property brought to any training session, match, or event venue.
10. Team Registration & Profile Responsibility
10.1 Team Leader Authority
Where a team is registered, the Team Leader shall be solely responsible for:
- Adding Participant details
- Uploading identification documents
- Providing phone numbers and contact information
- Completing and updating profiles
- Ensuring accuracy of all submitted data
By submitting Participant information, the Team Leader represents and warrants that:
- They are authorized by each Participant to submit their information
- Each Participant has been informed of and agrees to these Terms
- All uploaded documents are lawfully obtained
- All data is accurate and complete
The Team Leader accepts full responsibility for any incorrect, unauthorized, or misleading information submitted.
10.2 Individual Profile Completion
If a Participant independently completes or updates their own profile:
- The Participant confirms acceptance of these Terms
- The Participant confirms accuracy of submitted information
- The Participant confirms authorization for any uploaded documents
In such cases, the Participant assumes full responsibility for their submissions.
11. Media & Image Consent
- Use photographs, video recordings, and audio recordings
- Publish content across digital, print, and broadcast platforms
- Use participant names, likenesses, and team names for promotional, archival, and legacy purposes
12. Prizes
- Substitute prizes of equal value
- Withhold prizes in cases of rule violations or disqualification

14. Final Authority
The Dubai Sports Council retains full authority over all matters relating to the Dubai District Games, including interpretation of these Terms & Conditions. All decisions made by the Organizer are final and binding.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising in connection with the Dubai District Games shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
16. Acceptance of Terms
By completing registration and/or participating in the Dubai District Games, participants confirm that they:
- Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
- Agree to be legally bound by them
- Accept all associated risks
