What are the Dubai District Games?

The Dubai District Games is a community tournament where residents compete in Football, Basketball (3×3), Volleyball, and Badminton. Teams represent their district, promoting teamwork, inclusion, and community pride. Refer to About Us for details

Who can participate in the games?

Adults 18+ who live or work in Dubai can participate regardless of nationality or background. Each team registers under a designated Team Lead and must represent one district Refer to Registration Process for details

Fees, Registration & Eligibility

How do I register and what are the participation fees?

Registration should be completed by the Team Lead on the official website, fees are per sport. After registration, login credentials are sent to manage your team. Refer to Registration Process for details

Can I register as an individual player or for more than one sport?

Registration is team-based only, individual sign-ups aren’t accepted. Players may only register for only one sport to ensure fairness and smooth scheduling Refer to Registration Process for details

How do I know which district I belong to, and who can represent each district?

You may represent the district where you live or work. Teams must consist of eligible players from that area Refer to Districts for details

What are the eligibility requirements for players (age, residency, and professional status)?

Players must be 18+ and residents of Dubai (living or working). Professional or semi-professional players are not eligible entries will be verified against local club databases Refer to Games and Rules for details

Scheduling & Competition Format

How will match schedules and draws be announced?

District fixtures and Emirate Finals draws are published under Schedule & Results > Fixtures/Schedule and shared via email/SMS one week before the Finals Refer to Schedule Fixture for details

What happens if my team can’t attend a scheduled match?

Teams not ready within 10 minutes forfeit the match. Due to the fixed format, rescheduling isn’t guaranteed Refer to Schedule Fixture for details

How are ties or draws handled across different sports?

Tournament managers reserve the right to decide how tie are handled across each sport.

Facilities & On-Site Support

Will there be first aid, water, and other facilities at the venues?

Yes, certified medical staff and water stations will be available at all venues. Refer to Locations for details

Tournament Structure & Awards

How do teams progress from district to emirate finals?

Top-ranked teams from each district advance to the Emirate Finals, matchups in Finals will be determined through a draw. Refer to Structure for details

What prizes and recognition will winners receive?

Cash prizes, medals, and trophies are awarded at both District and Emirate levels, along with recognition from Dubai Sports Council Refer to Prizes for details

Media, Spectators & Experience

Will matches be open to spectators and covered by media?

Yes. Entry is free for all, with fan zones and entertainment during Finals. Official media teams will cover matches, and highlights will appear on DDG and @DubaiSportsCouncil social channels Refer to News and Media for details
